Bert Bell Benefit Bowl

The NFL also considers the Playoff Bowl or "Runner-up Bowl" (officially: the Bert Bell Benefit Bowl) as a post-season exhibition game. The Playoff Bowl was contested every year from 1960-69 in Miami between Eastern and Western Conference second place teams. While the games did not count, the following known coaches have went to the Playoff Bowl at least once and came away with the following records:

George Allen (2-0), Paul Brown (0-1), Bud Grant (0-1), Tom Landry (1-2), Vince Lombardi (1-1) and Don Shula (2-0).
